LETTER
ランドリーを新設しました。
この夏、洗濯機が壊れてしまい、これを機会にランドリールームを新設しました。洗濯機 10kg乾燥機 9kg連泊の方、ご家族でお泊りの方も、より過ごしやすく、使いやすくなったと思います。お隣の気高で民泊をしているナーリーアウルさんに大変お世話になりました！ありがとうございました🌈＊＊＊This summer our washing machine broke, so we decided it was the perfect chance to set up a new laundry room.Washing machine: 10kgDryer: 9kgNow it’s easier and more comfortable for longer stays and for families, too. 処暑
今日は処暑。暦の上では秋ですが、日中はまだ暑いですね。木陰や夕方の風に、少し涼しさを感じられるようになりました。夏の疲れを癒して、心地よい夜をゆっくり楽しみたいですね。
【修復】和紙照明
青宿には、谷口・青谷和紙さんの照明を取り入れています。和室202号室の照明は立体漉き和紙の「Moon」。和紙の繊維でより月感があり、優しい灯りの照明です。和紙でできていること、築50年の建物で天井が低いこと。頭をぶつけて凹むこともしばしばあります。が、ご安心を。和紙の照明は直すことができます☺️紙なので弱いと思われがちな和紙ですが繊維がしっかりしているので実は破れにくい。衝撃にも水にも強かったりします。青宿ではあと2つ和紙の照明があります。玄関には「MORI」1階のギャラリーには「Mokumoku」こちらも素敵な照明なのでぜひ楽しんでみてください。At Aoyado, we use lighting made by Taniguchi Aoya Washi.The light in Japanese-style Room 202 is called “Moon,” crafted from three-dimensional washi paper.Its fibers create a moon-like texture, giving off a soft and gentle glow.Because it’s made of washi paper, and because this 50-year-old building has low ceilings, it’s not uncommon for guests to bump their heads and dent the shade.But don’t worry — washi lighting can be repaired. ☺️People often assume washi is fragile because it’s paper, but the fibers are strong, making it surprisingly resistant to tearing.It’s also more durable against impact and even water than you might think.Aoyado has two other washi lights as well:“MORI” at the entrance, and “Mokumoku” in the first-floor gallery.They’re both beautiful pieces, so be sure to enjoy them during your stay.
