この週末はお友だちが泊まりにきてくれて、一緒に夕飯を作って食べました。
この日は、青谷で「菖蒲綱引き」がありました。
旧暦の端午の節句の伝統的な行事らしいです。
大綱を持って町を練り歩き、各所で賑やかな声が響いていました。
その様子を眺めながら、青谷ようこそ館へお買い物。
山椒の実や鹿肉の燻製、そら豆、きゅうり、ヤグルマソウなどを買いました。サンマートにも寄って買い足し。
山椒の実の炊き込みご飯、お味噌汁、お刺身、鹿肉の燻製、焼きそら豆、きゅうりのたたき、、などなど
ゆっくりご飯を食べながらお酒も少し飲んで楽しい時間を過ごせました☺️
楽しいと写真を撮るのを忘れてしまう…

Friends stayed over this weekend.
We cooked dinner together and took it slow.
That day, the traditional Shōbu Tsunahiki festival was happening in Aoya — an old tug-of-war event for Boys’ Day on the lunar calendar. Loud voices echoed through the streets as people paraded with a giant rope.
We watched for a bit, then stopped by the local shop for some treats: fresh sansho berries, smoked venison, broad beans, cucumbers, and a lovely bunch of cornflowers. A quick stop at Sanmart for the rest.
Dinner was steamed rice with sansho, miso soup, sashimi, smoked venison, smashed cucumbers, and more.
We shared good food, a little sake, and slow time together.
